What people needs to do is start putting hidden cameras in the relatives rooms, to catch the thieves! I did it for my mother in Arizona and I could call the poilce and show the evidence of who was stealing her stuff, this is happening in a lot of these retirement places all over the USA...is horrible. At the end I did enjoy putting two nurses in jail :-)
OMG... I read the reviews before my mother was taken there upon the request of her doctor on a 21day rehab stay.. I was absolutely livid during her entire time there. Someone stole my mothers brand new clothing I brought her for mother's day. Very bad bed sores after only 10 days there. Med tech giving medication (didn't know what it was) to my mother. I could never find anyone on administration staff to speak with after 2pm. workers talking about how bad the place is (while standing over my mother) and I am in the room. You ask the staff for something and no one knows a thing because they just started yesterday. Please if you have no other place to go, you better manage your loved one's care there.
This place is AWFUL! I hate it. Had to put my Mom in here as she cannot get up on her own, she needs assistance. She could walk with a walker once she was out of the chair or off of the bed when admitted, she can't now. They have broken her leg, given her a skin tear, failed to treat the injury, allowed her to dehydrate multiple times, given her wrong medications and she has horrendous sores from not being cleaned. You can bring instances to their attention, but nothing changes. A few of the staff members try really hard in their jobs, but they can't take care of everyone, so you will have many days when your loved one will receive sub-par "care". Is a sad, sad day if you put your loved one here.
Horrible place my aunt who has dementia is here and they do not do their job at all. We have a nurse check on her everyday and EVERYTIME she come she is not clean, the do not change her, or anything else. The nurse asked one of the other nurses to change her and they told her NO you change her. What the hell are they paying those nurses for if they do not want to work and do their damn job. Do not bring them here. They are horrible.
The place is awful and I wouldn't bring my dog here to receive care but if you don't care about your loved ones well being this is a great place them like being overworked underpaid and mistreated this is the place for you
