If I were able, I would give them FIVE NEGATIVE STARS. Their ER is unquestionably the worst ER that I have ever been in. One RN and two nursing students running the show. After sitting in the corner on gurney #5 for more than two hours I asked the nursing student when I would see th e doctor. The student relayed my question to the RN who answered "He hasn't even been admitted yet." I having overheard we answer said " Well if I haven't been admitted yet, then I'm leaving." To whit she replied"I don't give an f what you do, just take out your IV before you leave!" I refused since my primary care physician's RN installed the IV at Roybal Medical Clinic in East L. A. Civic Center. She called security, who then called more security..In all of my 59 years, this was my worst medical experience by far!

I am from San Diego. I am used to pleasant but indifferent service. My daughter while driving through LA had to be taken by ambulance to this hospital. When I arrived, I was surprised how very, very nice and helpful each and every staff member was. From the guard in the parking lot, to staff walking down the halls, each person I interacted with was caring and personal. Our circumstances are stressful, I am grateful to have beyond what I could hope for in the staff.

It's a convenient hospital since we live about 5 mins away...but need more friendly nurses especially in labor and delivery and in post parum.. well maintained and also we as patients also need a lil bit of more quickness when it comes to the emergency room!!
