Horrible place! Staff is rude and very inattentive to the residents. No consistency giving meds. Front desk staff seem to be more interested in their cell phones then helping me. I asked an employee in social services a question and was treated like it was the end of the world. A lot of the staff have a poor attitude. They seem to only be there for a paycheck and disturbed by actual work. I asked to talk to a charge nurse or supervisor and was diverted to talk to someone else. I have witnessed a few residents sleeping in wheelchairs in the halls, as others begging me to help them get out of there. They put my family member in a wheelchair and leave them there all day long. As my family member is on oxygen, they are not able to wheel around the halls nor outside without assistance. My family member pressed the call button and waited over 30 minutes for someone to come in the room. It took over 45 minutes to get my family member a cup of water. This isn’t any way to live or recover from an illness or injury. Stay away from here. Do your research before sending anyone you love and care about to this horrid place. They should be closed down.

I was hospitalized at Kaiser Permanente south from a bad motorcycle accident and after some time they sent me here for an "advanced care facility." Looked great at first but it was a rough start. Jeff made things astronomically better immediately. physical therapy was top notch specifically mike! Thanks for your help. Food sucks though!!! Seriously

I wish I could give this dump negative stars! It breaks my heart when I think about how I left my father here for two days (because Mercy discharged him from the Hospital, leaving us 45 minutes to choose a facility that I didn't even have time to go look at it). I should have followed my gut when I first walked in. The facility is filthy, dark, stuffy, terrible lighting, and reeks of cigarette smoke. My father, who was on oxygen at the time, informed me that his roommate was smoking outside of the room (in a non-designated smoking area) of course causing smoke to come into the room. Where were the nurses when this was happening? Come to find out that my father sat in his own feces over night. The nurses were not on top of his medication (every nurse had a different story why he didn't receive his medication on time) and brought him a smashed peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner on his first night, I'm LIVID just thinking about it!!! My father was only there for physical therapy rehabilitation, I feel even worse for those who are there for long-term care. After 2 days (I still can't forgive myself) I pulled my father out of McKinley and placed him at Eskaton Village on Walnut Ave. What a complete difference! Eskaton Village on Walnut Ave. is beautiful, clean and has amazing staff. When my father fully recovers and I have the strength and time, I will be escalating this issue as high as I can go. The photos on yelp are a joke. The place looks nothing like the photos! DO NOT TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT! I am so sad that my father had to experience this.
