The place looked decent but the rooms were the same old version with a coat of paint. The place was renovated, but I'm trying to understand why they wouldn't have made the front desk lower to communicate with the disabled tenants better. Nobody wants to try to look over a counter like a child. I saw where a man in a wheelchair tried to get the front desk staffs attention to see if his mail was there. She didn't address him but was russling through mail then she finally answered him. I believe this stems from not caring at the job and having the ability to have a proper front desk for the disabled to see the staff like a human being. I was over all not impressed.

The person I care for was taken to the hospital and after she was in the hospital it was determined that she needed to be taken to North Capitol Nursing and Rehabilitation(NCNR). I am her power of attorney as well as the closest person to her and I was not contacted regarding her admittance to NCNR. I was unable to gain access to the building due to no one monitoring the door. Additionally, she is legally blind and asked to be told what medications she was being given and was told she could see them in her hand. She could not and was not given any help. There was literally no communication with me concerning her care for days. I took her brand new pants to wear to the doctor and when I arrived to take her to the doctor she was wearing another patients pants. There were strong smells of feces and urine throughout the facility. I brought it to the attention of the staff and was rudely brushed off by more than one staff member. I would not ever nor will I ever be utilizing ANY American Senior Community for anyone I even remotely care about.
