We removed my father from her due to neglect. They are a for profit corp, and don't mind cutting corners to obtain said profits. They cannot keep staff. They have a really high turnover rate, and if you see the facility you will know why. There were new nurses every couple of days. We had one fired for stealing my father's pain pills and leaving him without. They allow patients to sit on their own waste for several hours. They are constantly out of diapers and wipes. If you bring your own wipes and diapers, they will steal them. There are patients wandering the halls yelling profanities and no one will help them. The care is so bad I filed multiple complaints with the state of Texas. The maintenance man stole the roku i connected to the tv. .

Stealing from the sick elderly. Who would steal clothes and personal hygiene from elderly sick person? What kind of monster does that? We are looking for another place.

My mother has been here for a month and her condition is getting worse due to the care she is receiving. Or should I say "is NOT receiving". She has 2nd degree burns on her legs that were healing when she arrived. Now they are infected and her feet are swelling badly. The wounds drain through the dressing and socks but still the nurses do not change them. They wait up to an hr before answering call bell. They do not medicate properly. They even take naps outside while on duty. There is a few good people there. But not enough to make up for all the bad ones.If you care about your family Do Not let them go here. Horrible place.

My father had the unfortunate luck of being referred to this facility, he passed away on Feb. 15th of this year. He was found unresponsive in his room on Feb. 7th and taken to the hospital. He was in the hospital for 5 days before I was notified by a doctor who happened to look up my phone number. This nursing home never even called to let me know, they claimed they had my "old phone number" on file, which is a lie because anytime the business office at this facility wanted to hound me for money they called. My father died exactly a week after he was admitted from complications due to his severe bacterial infection, which made him septic, and pnuemonia (Northgate boasts about it's respiratory care). When I went to the facility the same day that my father died, to pick up his belongings, I had asked to see the Director, Jason Knight, who was in his office very close to the reception area. He never came out of his office or to my father's room where I was collecting what personal items that had not been stolen and/or lost by this wretched nursing home. Not one employee spoke to me or even looked me in the eye, except for one nice man that i guess was not given the "memo" so to speak. As I was leaving, I stopped to speak to the Director of Nursing, Miguel, and asked him why I was not notified about my father being admitted the hospital and he told me, "your father is listed as self-care in the system." How can an 86 year old man, who is blind, wheel chair bound, and has severe dementia be self-care. I had filled out the forms myself when dad was admitted and gone over all the questions and details with the person who was in-charge of admissions. As far as I am concerned, this horrible facility neglected my father to such an extent that he died from it and not only that, they didn't have the common decency to call me, his only daughter and P.O.A, to make me aware that he was even sick much less admitted to the hospital. They robbed me of 5 precious days that I could have been by my Dad's side while he was in the hospital, it is unforgivable what they did and I would not recommend this facility to my worst enemy.

Nurses are very lazy and do not check on pts.as they should. Had to complain many times, just for minimal care for family. Wound care nurse great.
