When was there for two years I developed stage IV pressure ulcers in 2005 which I still have! It's a beautiful place but the staff are there just for a job. They are ghetto to the utmost! The rehabiltation staff are excellent when I was there but the doctors are non knowledgea I was able to walk after head trauma. They would get you up at 6:30 in the morning and wouldn't put you back to bed till 6:30 pm. They had insufficient staff who were over worked an under paid! Since Symphony bought them I hope things has changed for the better!

I went to visit my brother and he was lying in his own waste in bed. He was in hospice but I never seen so much negligence in a facility like rhis.

I had an interview here. But it doesn't pay well. I like to get paid well if the people are total dependent. Just they are very picky for what it is. I can apply across the street for the same pay rate and not have to lift a finger. At least those people can do for themselves.

First off the building is beautiful! Truly it is. Especially being that it's a nursing home. Linda in H.R. is very kind & welcoming. So was Princess the activity director, The guy over therapy was a complete idiot!! from my prospective!! Never did get a chance to meet the administrator. Smh!!! Jesus Christ the orientation was so bogus. It wasn't organized alot of ppl I still didn't get a chance to meet them, They were sending messages of being too busy. Which is understandable. The CNA's Omg!! I heard one of the CNA's tell another CNA that she wasn't doing anything with us, Us being the orientees smh! How can you say something like that? & not care about the ppl you're supposed to train hearing it? I just really don't understand it!! Alot of them look like they've done hard prison time & will beat your ass. I was friendly & polite & said Good morning to most. They didn't even reply! Or either they grumbled under their breath. I would never like to work here & that's why I left.... Ridiculous

My wife spent a bit over 3 months at Symphony Rehab recovering from a serious automobile accident. All of the staff from Nurses to Cleaning Staff were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and always doing the best. It was obvious, just by watching, during lunch or dinner, on the 5th floor, that the Staff really cared about the patients, many of whom were in wheelchairs, by the how they went about doing their jobs. The administrative staff, was also excellent, starting from, coming to our room to explain the financial matters (Medicare & Medigap insurance was going to cover the costs of care), to making sure that the floor cleaning was not done with any very strong smelling substances. Symphony is possibly the only Rehab place whose facilities are most suitable for someone with serious allergies and chemical sensitivity at least on the 5th floor. No carpets, no curtains on the windows, which was extremely important for my wife (she had to transfer out of another facility after spending one night). The Rehab staff was also first rate. Finally, Philip Stone (Customer Care) was really helpful because he was there in person or just a quick phone call away to help clear up any small or large problem. On a side note, for anyone considering a longer term Rehab at Symphony, be aware that they have the largest, clearest, newest, HDTV's that I have seen (Evanston Hospital has the poorest, St Francis the next best). I cannot recommend Symphony highly enough. Note to management: Everyone works really hard to do a great job, so please give everyone a Raise !! Thanks to everyone at Symphony !
