I would not recommend this blue skies facility to anyone. My 94 yo ww2 veteran grandfather was sent here against his wishes and the staff hasn't done a single thing for him. They didn't bring him his meals on his first day. You walk in and there is no staff to be found. Horrible service and unwelcoming environment. Do not go there ever!!!

These last five years working at Blue Skies of Texas has been a wonderful experience! It is a blessing to care for our residents. I love working for a company that supports and encourages our staff to grow and further develop their careers. I hope someone searching for a place to live for either themselves or a loved one will highly consider Blue Skies of Texas! It is a very special place!

Five years ago, I decided to live at Blue Skies of Texas because it was the best value of the non-profit CCRC's. The many activities, health facilities and wonderful friendships have brought great joy and satisfaction to my life. The secure urban campus next to loop 410 is a gateway to all of the benefits of living in vibrant San Antonio.

I am an RN with experience as a Director of Nursing. When I had the opportunity to tour Blue Skies memory unit I went in with sharp eyes looking for negative. I am thrilled to say that Blue Skies knows how to take care of their residents. They have appropriately placed residents into one of the three levels of care for the Alzheimers and Dementia folks. It's clean. Very homelike. The staff are well trained and the integration of the music into care is outstanding. My only regret is that I can't place my Dad here as he is well advanced into his Alzheimers stage because he lives in Minnesota. This is exactly the kind of care I would want him to have till his end days. Dignity, quality and joy. Thank you Blue Skies for a job well done. Keep up the excellent work! Lynn Sommars

If that is really the place she lives, can somebody tell her to call her niece in Kazakhstan? Her niece doesnt speek english, she caled several times and once someone answered but she didnt understand her. She is afraid that her aunt can be ill or sth else. Thank you.
